Presentation Day: THE PARABLES

How Might the Parables Look in Our Lives Today?

Synopsis:

Nicki is stressed to the max on her classroom presentation day. But it has nothing to do with her presentation. She's in big trouble at home.  As each student group presents on their assigned Parable, Nicki agonizes with Carly over her next steps. To complicate matters, there's a major event at stake. Will the girls make a big sacrifice to find peace in their hearts?

Casting:

CLASSROOM STUDENTS - unlimited number with exhaustive opportunities to find one or more features for each student in singing, acting, lip sync, dance, tumbling, or movement. Age of students is left to Director's discretion. There is opportunity to feature youngest students in SOWER AND SEED. Each Parable is also illustrated by a drawing or piece of art, giving opportunity to students with artistic gifting.

NICKI (F)- fun-loving, impulsive, risk-taker, spontaneous, can be short-sighted.

Strong Actor~Singer.
CARLY(F)- deliberate, introspective, adores best friend, Nicki, can be critical.

Strong Actor~Singer.
MARTIN (M/F) - classroom teacher. Controls flow and pace. Reasonable Actor.

Non-Singing. May literally be the/a classroom teacher, a peer, an older student, or for extra fun, cast a guest actor who is well known to the audience such as a principal, mayor, coach, etc.
