SYNOPSIS

When Grandpa Oscar Long ends up in the hospital on Christmas day, his visiting family - including foster grandchildren - gather at the hospital to comfort Grandma Katherine Long and speed Grandpa's recovery.  But in these close quarters, Alex' secret surfaces, along with unresolved family issues. Will the family work through their issues in love? Or sweep them under the rug?  This little romp might remind you of a family you know.

LONG GRANDCHILDREN - ensemble, no upward limit

FOSTER CHILDREN (M/F) - 1-3 non-speaking, non-singing, tumblers, dancers, flyers for pyramid, smaller stature helpful

GRANDMA (F) - Nurturing, warm, engaging, drives transitions, strong actress, must sing and move well, and rap solo. May be played by adult, older student, or peer.

ALEX (M/F) - Appealing, athletic, over-achieving, older cousin. Big ballad solo. Weighty scenes.

HOSTESS (F) - Phone addicted, oblivious. Strong actress. Optional song. 

FREDDY (M) - Goofy, enterprising cousin.  Strong actor. Optional song.

GINA (F) - Mature, strong actress. Non-singing. May be played by adult, older student, or peer.

FRANKIE (M/F) - supporting, non-singing

GALE (M/F) - supporting, non-singing

GRANDPA (M cameo) - One closing line. May be played by a parent, Pastor, Principal, etc.
