"The most powerful person in the world is the storyteller." – Steve Jobs
Story.
God invented it.
Jesus practiced it.
Even Jobs recognized it.
The process of rehearsing for a performance is a formative journey. During this time, you and your students have the opportunity to really chew on the core message of the story you’re rehearsing.
Why not take this opportunity to chew on biblical truth?
To set you up for success, we’ve prepared stories that center on the relevant application of biblical truth. Each of our works focus on a biblical source and theme. These stories present biblical truth as it is played out in our lives horizontally – at school, at home, with our friends, with our families…
Want to dig into Proverbs 18:21? We have a one act musical for that! Thinking your students would benefit from Hebrews 10:24-25? We have a mini musical for that. 2 Peter 2:19? We have a song for that! Do any of the following verses stand out to you? Click on the link(s) below to see which of our stories it’s connected to:
“Our words have the power to build people up…or tear people down…” Proverbs 18:21
“...there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24
“Do not fear; I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13
“Some friends may ruin you, but a real friend will be more loyal than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” Hebrews 10:24-25
As a Christian Music and/or Theatre Educator, you are uniquely positioned to influence your students' lives. Let’s harness the common hope that bonds us as believers: The redemption of Christ. Redemptive theatre creates a unique opportunity for God to work!

The Bible stories have been so well written – for so long, so many ways – we really didn't feel like we could bring anything new to the table.

These stories tend to be biblical truth played out in our lives horizontally.

How does a truth, that I do believe, look when I'm actually interacting in the world navigating difficult situations?
0:23
We try to be very honest to the situations your students are in, so that the situations seem believable, and they actually mirror the same things that we deal with every day.
0:36
We've written reflection questions that go with all the scripture songs and these can be used however you see fit. They would fit in a Bible study format, in a Sunday School, in a small group...one before each rehearsal, one per week in a chapel.

You can use them however you want, but it's another step to probe deeper and prompt our students to think about "why this truth matters in my life...and how it might play out in my life..."
